History of Parish
What is being considered a Chaplaincy today started with two families in the year 1978, sneaking into the seminarians’ chapel to worship. With time, a community of two families started to grow though at an arithmetical progression. The rapid growth came up with the creation of Kogi State, with Lokoja metropolis, as a state capital. The influx of people from across the different boarder-lines into the new state served as a booster to the population of worshippers.
It assumed the status of a Worshipping Community in 1998. Recently, on the 3rd of June, 2006, it was declared a chaplaincy by Most Rev. Dr. M. D. A. Olorunmolu, Catholic Bishop of Lokoja Diocese.
