History of Parish
What we have today as Ogbom Parish, started as St. Paul's Catholic Church, Ogbom situated in the South eastern part of the Diocese.
The station was opened in 1983.
It was for a very long time under Isanlu Parish before it was carved out of Isanlu to be with Egbe Parish in 1987.
Meanwhile, in 1997, Ogbom became an Independent Station (mission sui ivris) with a Priest in residence in person of Rev. Fr. Cyril Ayobode Fanaiye an indigene of this parish.
However, in 2001, an outstation was opened at Ogga with a church built in 2003.
Ogbom parish was then created by Most Revd. Martin D. A. Olorunmolu on the 3rd June 2006.
The territory of Ogbom Parish is at the boundaries of Yagba East/Yagba West Local Government Area, having Ogbom in the East while Ogga in the West.
